Clarifying the Publishing Industry, Building Community, and… Having Fun!
Pitch•Publish•Promote is a writing conference focused on cultivating the writing community and connecting emerging writers with agents, editors, publishers, self-publishers, and publishing platforms. You’ll gain insight from our industry experts and have the opportunity to pitch your book idea(s) to agents and editors. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves, so this conference will be fun! We like to eat well, embrace our inner child (Did someone say “ice cream sundaes” and “writing certificates?”), laugh hard, and take an unorthodox approach to overcoming writer’s block. Think haiku and tarot cards. All of this in a beautiful, light-filled setting to recharge your passion for the craft.
Are You Ready to Invest in Your Writing Career?
you are! that’s why we’re here. Which is the best track for you?
The Full-Day Experience
9 AM - 5 pm | Saturday, November 2, 2019
Are you a writer who wants to better understand the publishing process? Have you self-published a book, but you’re curious about traditional publishing? Do you have a fully fleshed out manuscript and a proposal? Are you looking for feedback before you take the plunge and reach out to agents? Or do you have an idea and no idea where to begin? Maybe you hesitate to even call yourself a “writer.” We feel you, but we are here to help! Wherever you land on that spectrum, this conference is for you. We have the tools you need, and our goal is to elevate your voice.
The VIP Experience
Friday, November 1, 2019 - Sunday, November 3, 2019
The Pitch•Publish•Promote VIP Experience is for writers seeking one-on-one coaching and feedback on their manuscripts and book ideas in preparation for meeting editors and agents. This is an opportunity to enhance your work, practice your pitch, and work through your ideas. This VIP Experience is also a unique opportunity to connect with our guest experts, including editors from publishing houses, in more casual environments (like dinner), so you’ll be more comfortable before officially pitching. We invite our VIP attendees to join us with a manuscript, a book proposal, or simply a book idea.
